Cruiser Camp programs focus on improving each kid's skiing or snowboarding skills while providing a fun and safe learning environment.  The teaching objectives for Cruiser Camp include teaching fundamental skills and on-hill etiquette at all levels.  Cruiser Camp promotes an environment of confident skiing and riding by teaching in terrain appropriate for the abilities of the group.  Kids are therefore grouped together according to their ability levels, ages and motivations, and will explore the mountain based on the skills of the group.  Each group will remain with their assigned instructor for the length of the program providing a stable environment and core peer group.

Cruiser Camp is open to ages 4 through 15 and 7 through 15 for snowboarders, all ability levels and is offered for twelve Saturdays throughout the season.  The Cruiser Camp groups are divided into age ranges of 4 through 6, 7 through 12 and teens by ability.  The program begins Saturday, December 13, 2008 and concludes April 4, 2009.  The daily schedule runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  All participants should bring either money or sack lunch.  The Cruiser Camp annual BBQ and Race is on the last Saturday, April 4, 2009.  The twelve Saturdays Cruisers Camp is offered are:  December 13, 20; January 10, 17, 24, 31; February 7, 21, 28; March 7, 28, April 4.

Fun 4 Kids

Fun 4 Kids program is a one hour private lesson for children ages 3 - 6 looking for an introduction to skiing as they prepare to ski independently on our beginner runs. Children will be assigned an instructor at their first meeting and will remain with this instructor through the entire 8 week program.  This relationship with their instructor creates stability and develops a child's self-confidence on the snow.  Fun 4 Kids gives your children the opportunity to explore the mountain comfortably according to their individual abilities in addition to instruction tailored to your child's needs.

Fun 4 Kids offers time availabilities from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, beginning January 10 through March 14, 2009, excluding the week of February 14 - 20.  The program includes a lesson, rental equipment and lift ticket.  Rental equipment can be kept throughout the entire 8 - week program. Children meet at the Kid's Ski and Ride School Explorer Corral next to the Whetstone Building.
